Movie Teaser Trailer- Age Of Adaline

In the opening credits of this film we are instantly given the age certification, this is to ensure that the appropriate age, placing this at the start of the teaser trailer ensures that people that want to watch the film in the cinemas can be assured of the age limit.

In the next clip we see the “Sidney Kimmel entertainment” this is the SKE) is a Los Angeles-based finance and film and television production company, founded in 2004 by philanthropist and film producer Sidney Kimmel. Sidney Kimmel Entertainment focuses on bringing entertainment projects to audiences in association with studio distribution partners.

Lakeshore Entertainment Group is an American independent film production, finance, and international sales and distribution company founded in 1994 by Tom Rosenberg and Ted Tannebaum. Lakeshore Entertainment is headquartered in Beverly Hills, California. The company has produced over 60 films, including the Academy Award-winning Million Dollar Baby. The company also has a record label division, Lakeshore Records. In 2013, the company launched a television division, and in 2015, they launched a digital studio, Off The Dock, that targets the YouTube demographic.

Lions Gate Entertainment Corporation is a Canadian-American entertainment company. The company was formed in Vancouver, British Columbia, on July 3, 1997, and is headquartered in Santa Monica, California. As of November 2013, it is the most commercially successful mini major film and television distribution company in North America and the seventh most profitable movie studio

In the first official clip of the teaser trailer we are introduced into the style of the film which is based in the 30s-40s, in this clip we see the two main characters getting married with all of their assuming friends and family. The clothes and MES in the shot can immediately give us as the audience this particular style of film. In terms of the characters we are introduced to who we will be following throughout the film, we can judge by this clip that it will be this couple.

In  a quick edit we can see that we are in fact following this couple along their journey in life,  in this clip we can see the two main characters in what looks like a church with a priest, the couple look to be gazing over their child, they both seem to be happy.  This makes the audience feel allured in to see what is to happen in the movie, also the audience most likely feel as though this is a typical classic film whereby two people meet, fall in love, get married and have children.

In the next shot we can see can see a mid-wide shot, this gives us a detail of the
two characters of what their wearing, what they’re doing as well as their facial expressions. In the background it looks to be that the mother and daughter are spending quality time together outside on a nice day, this again further makes the audience feel like this film is a happy joyous film.

In the next clip it follows up to the last shot, this clip shows the woman’s car driving on the road, as I said this is a dark wintery night, on a fine narrow road, the setting seems to be in a far out place, e.g. in the middle of the country side as there doesn’t seem to be any people or street lights. This gives the audience almost thinking that there will be something shocking happening next.

In this clip we see the car that the woman is driving, swerve off the road to the oncoming fence that is at the side of the road, we can see that the weather has got increasingly worse as it’s starting to snow, the anxiety of the clip definitely increases.   

Next we see the car falling into the see that is down beside the fence, the car drives directly into the sea, without the main lead characters control. She screams and cry’s when her car does this. As expected she tries to escape out of the car, her breathing seems to be restricted, as well as her being highly stressed.

Quickly in the next shot we see the camera pulling away from the car, next we can see a birds eye view of the area whereby the woman’s car fell, we can see a huge lightning strike as well as flames and almost a firework bursting from around the area of where she was.

Magically the woman survives and jumps up from out of the water, as expected she seems to be shocked and stressed, as she looks to be confused as to what has just happened. She seems to be trying to get a breath while looking around her.

 In the next clip we can see the splash up clip whereby the creators have placed in the words “This April” this is important as this shows the audience when the film comes out, its also a good idea to put this into the middle of the teaser trailer as it cuts things up and keeps the audience focused on what they are watching

In the next clip we see the main female characters home, this is a birds eye view, this gives us a look into the area that she lives in, this is also based in the 40s, judging by the cars and the clothes that the young boy is wearing, we can really truly judge the year.

In the next clip  we see an over the shoulder shot, this clip is of the mother and daughter, also we are seeing the mother and daughter parting ways in life, as the mother doesn’t age she needs to constantly change up her identity. This is an emotional clip to watch as both characters are crying.

Here in this clip we see the main female character looking out of a window to the skyline, this is a full body shot whereby we can tell that her emotions are negative and emotional

Next we see a mid-shot, this is important to always place in movies and teaser trailers, as we can distinctively see the characters facial expressions. In this shot we can learn the new character as he is the love interest to the female lead character. In this clip he sees her for the first time, he seems as though he want to get to know her.

.In coincidence we again are seeing a mid-shot of the female character, this is the clip whereby she meets eyes with the new male character, this is important to include as it helps the audience appreciate the love interest.

As the female character is aging she looks as though she is finding it hard to cope with the stresses of meeting someone new, here we see an over the shoulder shot, she looks as though she is looking through the pictures of her first love, when she got married for the first time.

 Next we see the male characters father and mother being introduced to his new girlfriend, the father seems to be almost startled to see the female characters face. Here we see another over the shoulder shot.

As well as the father being startled as is the female character, here we see a mid- shot, and whereby we can see that the female character looks shocked and nervous to be in the same company as him.

The son seems to be just as confused as he clearly has no idea as to what is going on.

Here we see a flash back what the father has had, this is the male characters father on the bike, around 20+ years ago.

This is a wide angle shot whereby it is a lowered shot, we can get a view of the female characters car as well as the boy and the scenery around the area.

In the next clip we see a face shot this would be from  the perspective of the male character, this is immediately shown to us that it is indeed a flashback as the character is dressed in what looks like 1940s/50s clothing, she looks happy to be around the male character.

In the next clip we see a flash forward of the female this is an over the shoulder shot of the father, they look to be having a heated argument whereby the girl looks to be upset, this is where in the film the father sees her for the truth and she cannot deal with the fact he could ruin her relationship.

In this shot we see the male character running out of the home he was staying in, he looks to be holding a piece of paper, we can only assume that the female character is ending things as she is worried for him to find out the truth about her, this shot is a full body shot, this shows the male characters body actions as well as his face, he looks to be upset and trying to run after her. 

Here we can see the female character running this is a mid- close up shot, she looks to be in distress. This gives the audience a feeling of sadness and feeling sorry for both characters

Its important that in a teaser trailer we see the name of the film as the audience can now be aware and then go to watch it in the cinema.

Lastly the last clip that we see from the teaser trailer clip is the main people behind the movie, this is important to acknowledge as these are the people who made this incredible film.
